Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame has been established to mark the 20-year anniversary of the MMBH and to recognize individuals that have made exceptional and exemplary contributions to the tournament and Muslim hockey in Montreal and Canada.
2016 - Sokat Shaikh
- Exceptional play in leading entire tournament in scoring four times.
- Recognized for hardest slapshot in history and winning three championships.
- Longevity in participating in the first ever tournament and a total career of over 20 years.
2015 - Sami Ullah
- Exceptional play in leading the entire tournament in scoring three times.
- Leadership by winning a championship and captaining underdog teams to Finals multiple times.
- Commitment in continuing to help the tournament post-retirement.
2014 - F. Suhail Niazi
- Commitment in participating in every tournament for 17 years and counting; organized 15th tournament in 1999.
- Leadership by winning 2 championships to date, including 1 as captain. Supported growth of hockey in Montreal Muslim community.
- Sportsmanship in consistently championing and embodying practice of Islamic and respectful behaviour in game play above all else.
2013 - Faisal A. Shahabuddin
- Commitment and longevity in participating in every tournament since April 1993, marking 20 years.
- Consistency in playing at a high level and recognized as an exceptional player throughout, holding multiple records to date.
- Leadership "on the floor" by winning 14 championships to date, 11 as captain.
- Leadership "off the floor" by being a key contributor to hockey in the Montreal Muslim community and facilitating growth of the tournament.
2012 - M. O. Hussain
- Showed initiative as the founder of the MMBH in 1992.
- Exemplified leadership "on the floor" by winning 5 championships, all as captain.
